Wilaiporn Rojjanasrirat , PhD, RNC, IBCLC
Dr. Wilaiporn Rojjanasrirat is an Associate Professor and Director of Research and Scholarship at Graceland University School of Nursing, Independence, Missouri. She is currently teaching graduate level, on-line nursing research and evidence-based courses. Her area of research focuses on promoting and supporting breastfeeding mothers, health promotion in vulnerable populations, and education. In 2010, she completed a pilot study funded by the International Lactation Consultant Association to test the feasibility of using the telehealth in assessing and providing lactation support in women’s home. Her current research includes an evaluation of the effects of evidence-based practice course on graduate nursing students’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills toward EBP and a collaboration project with Health Ed Connect in an implementation of the intervention to improve psychological and Emotional Status of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in Zambia. In summer 2012, Dr. Rojjanasrirat was honored as a Fulbright Scholar Specialist at the Naresuan University, Thailand for six weeks. Dr. Rojjanasrirat also serves as a current president of the Greater Kansas City Lactation Consultant Association, and a board of director member of the Mother and Child Health Coalition of Greater Kansas City, Missouri.
